I started painting this figure on the beach yesterday...it still needs some tweaking, but it sure felt good to get back in my art room. I used a photo of Britt and a photo that I had taken on Bolivar a few years ago. 9x12 on pastelbord (i didn't misspell board...there isn't an "a" in pastelbord.) This was my first time to try pastelbord and I must say I really like this surface.

pastel painting
I started painting this figure on the beach yesterday...it still needs some tweaking, but it sure felt good to get back in my art room.
