The hens are laying at least a dozen eggs a day...and as you can see they lay different sizes. The small egg is really small...it's the smallest so far...I watched that hen lay that egg last Friday. On average the egg in the center is the size egg they are laying right now. The large egg had 2 yokes in it. There is nothing like fresh eggs!

The hens are laying at least a dozen eggs a day...and as you can see they lay different sizes. The small egg is really small...it's the smallest so far...I watched that hen lay that egg last Friday. Crack those eggs in a bowl first!! Especially if you end up with a sitter.....nothing is worse than cracking a fertilized egg into your frying pan or cake batter:-( Rita
luckily, I don't have any sitters right now. I don't give them time to sit on them anyways...I'm out there at least 3 times in the morning collecting eggs and check several times in the afternoon...I have one that lays around 1pm.
