mmm...food!

Chance couldn't eat any food for 24 hours on Friday...he thought he was dying! I had to take Buckles to the vet this morning...he has the same virus. Poor babies!

yard work study

I started this study Monday while Buckles was having his surgery...today, I added a few more touches to it...not really happy with it, but oh well. 7x5 oil on canvas panel. I'm hoping to paint a small study at least 5 times a week...just as soon as things settle down around here! I had to take Chance to the vet this morning because he has been vomiting for the past couple of days...this morning he vomited blood, so off to the vet we went. They had to give him an IV, 2 shots, take blood and sent home more meds plus he can't have anything to eat until tomorrow and then he can only have a tablespoon of this bland food every 2 hours. He is not a happy camper...I can't leave water or any food out, so I have to remind myself to offer Buckles water and food. Fun Fun!!!

just the tip

DH took this picture of Buckles a few weeks ago...I think he looks so cute when he sticks just the tip of his tongue out! He's having a hard time staying calm and not playing with Chance this week...I'm having to give him tranquilizers.

double eyelet rib

This pattern repeat is easy to remember without looking at the pattern. This is my fourth pair of socks to knit this year...my goal is to knit at least one pair of socks a month. I love the feel of knitted socks!

I was hoping to have finished the first sock by today, but I have been busy making sure Buckles doesn't rib out his stitches from being neutered.

I'm not sure what kind of flower this is...I think it's a butterfly lily, but not sure. These flowers grow in the esplanade on our street.

finished heart socks

I finished my heart socks last night...they fit like a glove! I started another pair last night...they are called eyelet lace and the pattern is a lot simpler than this heart pattern.
