25 rows

I cast on this sweater last night...this is what it looks like after 25 rows. The pattern is Tea Leaves Cardigan. The yarn is Madelinetosh...color is Terrarium. I love this yarn! I bought the yarn here.

finished!

I cast on this sweater exactly 6 weeks ago today and finished it this morning. I'm so excite to have finished my first sweater! I have the yarn and pattern for my next sweater, just sitting there waiting for me to cast on.

blanket squares

I love the Spud and Chloe colors...they remind me of being in a candy store! The different stitch patterns are in this book.

I added a face sketch to my flickr.

look what chance and buckles found!

I was outside with the dogs, when all of a sudden they ran to the fence and started barking and scratching at the gate. I thought it was another dog, not a buzzard! I ran in the house to get my camera...this is the closest I've ever been to a buzzard. He was eating a poor little squirrel. At first, I was going to shoo him away, but then I thought about how I didn't want to have to clean up the squirrel myself. I took a few pictures through a crack in the fence and then I lured the dogs inside with a greenie.

spring garden

Our garden is looking a lot better this year than it did last year. We are eating lettuce, carrots, onions and a few strawberries from our garden. DH does most the work in the garden and I take care of the chickens.

knit, knit, knit

I'm knitting squares using Spud & Chloe yarn...the squares knit up quickly with this worsted weight yarn. It's 55% superwash wool and 45% organic cotton and it feels amazing! I plan on knitting a baby or lap blanket. Check out this blog if your interested in the Spud and Chloe yarn. This is where I got my inspiration to knit these squares. The yarn is from Jimmy Beans Wool.

I've almost finished my sweater...I plan on starting on the sleeves tonight.

I finished this pair of socks yesterday. I call them my travel socks...I love to be the passenger in a car, so I can knit. DH always drives when we go someplace, so I knit. The good thing about knitting in the car is, I'm not gasping for air or covering my eyes...I'm to focused on my knitting and not DH's driving.

I cast on another pair of plain and simple socks.

I haven't been sketching much lately...too obsessed with knitting, but I did post a face on my flickr.
