random monday...

I took all these pictures this past Thursday when we were having a Spring like day. I wandered out into the woods with my camera...I never know what I will find. The carrots are from our garden...I gave them to the hens...they love carrots from the garden. I thin out the carrots, so the ones left can grow bigger.

eggs...the perfect food

Eggs contain amino acids, folic acid (pregnant women need a lot of this)...they are full of essential fatty acids and vitamins and minerals. The protein profile of an egg is so perfect, that it's considered 2nd to breast milk.

3rd times a charm?

I cast on this Hannah hat Monday night and have had to frog it 3 times...grrrr! Hopefully, last night was the last time. It's not like it's a hard pattern, I just don't know where my brain has been. I'm knitting this hat for Kris...maybe.

it's been a week...

My Mom passed away a week ago today. Lung cancer took her life...she was 72 years old. This picture was taken 2 months after I was born in 1961.
