update on socks

I've finished the first sock that I'm knitting for DH and I should be ready for all the heel work tonight on the second one.

vantage point

DH and I went to see the movie Vantage Point this morning, so I decided to draw some popcorn. A very suspenseful movie! The only thing I didn't like was that the guy that plays Jack in "LOST" is in the movie and well...I won't say anymore because I don't want to ruin the movie for those that haven't seen it...just go see it!

edm...draw a bar of soap

DH and I went to Bayou City Farmer's Market a couple of Saturdays ago...I bought a bar of goat's milk soap...it smells good enough to eat!

frogged 3 times...so far

I have frogged this shawl 3 times now! I started over yesterday and this is what I have knitted so far...hopefully, I won't need to frog it again! I'm using circular needles...Buckles pulled on one of the long needles I was using and pulled out at least 50 stitches, so I frogged it and changed needles.

edm...draw something sweet

I haven't been drawing much lately, so I decided to get my EDM (everyday matters) list out and draw this chocolate covered strawberry from Valentines Day. I ate it when I was finished.

chance

I thought I would post a picture of Chance, since I haven't in awhile. DH took this picture of Chance last Saturday when we went to see the girls for the day...we always pick up lunch and go to a park. K misses the boys so much!

second pair

Last night I started my second pair of socks...these will be for DH. The yarn has bamboo in it and is very soft...I ordered it from http://www.theloopyewe.com/. They have great service and quick shipping!

I made this scarf for K...it's made out of baby alpaca yarn...I used size 13 needles. I should finish my first pair of socks tonight or tomorrow...what a learning experience that has been...it's getting past that first sock.

cranberries

Here is a quick sketch I did this morning before tossing these cranberries...they have been in our frig since Thanksgiving! DH was suppose to make cranberry sauce with them, but never got around to it...so I thought I would at least sketch them.

I've been busy knitting...among other things, so I thought I would post a picture of my clawfoot tub...DH installed it a few days after Christmas...I love it!

loose watercolors

I didn't use pencil or pen with this sketch...I just started adding watercolors...trying to stay loose. I used a large brush for the entire sketch.

Update on my first sock...I should finish it today...I'm working on the toe decrease and hopefully tonight I'll cast on the stitches for its mate.

sock obsession

Here's an update on my first sock...this weekend I knitted the heel flap, turned the heel, knitted the heel gusset and started the foot part...I'm a little obsessed with finishing this sock! I tried it on last night and it fits...so far. The hardest part was the heel turning...it took me forever to figure that part out, but now I shouldn't have any problems with the second sock. Socks are fun to knit!

sock update

I thought I would post a picture of my sock...I frogged it 2 days ago (ripped it out)...didn't like how it was looking. I decided to do a K2 P2 rib pattern...I'm hoping to start on the heel today.
